Editorial and Sourcing Policy

I choose ideas from my real experience of living in a small space, and I write about what has actually worked in a home like mine. The images on this site are created for FernHavenly. I only name products I would use myself. If you spot a mistake, please let me know through the Contact page so I can correct it.

Where ideas come from

My ideas come from real small-space living, not from a list of trends I have not tried. I write about what has actually worked in a home like mine, and I leave out ideas that do not fit a small, rented space, even if they look good in a larger home.

No invented numbers or claims

I do not invent statistics, prices, or claims to make an idea sound stronger. If I do not know a number, I leave it out rather than guessing, and I describe what an idea does in plain terms instead of promising a result.

Mistakes and corrections

If you spot a mistake, please let me know through the Contact page. I will correct it, because a guide that readers rely on for their homes should be accurate.

Products I name

I only name a product if I would use it myself. That test comes first, before price, appearance, or how well a product might sell.

Sponsored or gifted items

Any sponsored post or gifted item will be clearly labeled as such, so you can tell at a glance when a recommendation is not simply my own choice. How I handle those items is explained on the Disclosure page.
